A company plans to transition its personnel team to remote work. With previous remote experience, the team will collaborate with the security and HR leads to assess remote infrastructure and create documentation. The ReMa project will offer team skills training to understand remote work practices. To ensure transparency and iteration, a professional in remote working will be hired to support the transition process.
Company A is a tech startup based in Portugal, with a growing team of 13 people. The team has previous remote work experience, working from home during the pandemic. The company’s best-fitting team structure is a remote-first team, with a small coworking office for meetings and occasional use.
The team is technically mature, comfortable with technology, and has good security practices. However, leadership, including the co-founder, has less remote maturity and is not as transparent. To get leadership buy-in, the team will meet with their co-founder and managers to discuss the plan and agree on the remote work transition.
To assess the remote infrastructure, the team will collaborate with the security lead and HR lead to ensure they have the right tools, services, and documentation. The co-founder and professional in remote working will lead documentation, learning, and practicing better communication. The ReMa project will offer team skills training to understand remote work practices. To ensure transparency and iteration, a professional in remote working will be hired to support the transition process.
